Work Boat/Landing Craft with Bunk Trailer for Schodack Island State Park

OPRHP is seeking to purchase one (1) new aluminum Work Boat/Landing Craft (Boat) model year 2025, or newer, and one (1) Bunk Trailer (Trailer) model year 2025, or newer. Schodack Island State Park sits off the eastern shore of the Hudson River just south of Albany. Approximately seven miles of the Hudson River and Schodack Creek shoreline bound the 1,052-acre site that spans portions of Rensselaer, Greene, and Columbia counties. The park has been designated a State Estuary, and a portion of the park shelters a Bird Conservation Area (BCA) that is home to bald eagles, cerulean warblers and blue herons that nest in the cottonwood trees, as well as eight miles of multi-use trails that wind through a variety of ecological communities. In addition, the park has 66 campsites, a bike trail, a kayak/canoe launch and a boat launch. During the winter months the park offers cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. The boat will be used for moving staff, equipment, and materials such as UTVs, tractors with a brush mower, and a small tractor-loader, while also handling the installation and removal of seasonal docks.
