Fort Jefferson Sanitary Sewer System

The Darke County Board of Commissioners is seeking sealed bids for the construction of the Fort Jefferson Sanitary Sewer System project. Bids must be submitted to the Darke County Board of County Commissioners at 520 South Broadway, Greenville, OH 45331 by 1:00 PM on September 10, 2026. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at 1:30 PM on the same day. Any bids submitted after the deadline will be returned unopened. The project involves a low-pressure force main sanitary sewer collection system, including 2" and 3" piping, a pump station, and related components. Additionally, it encompasses on-lot sanitary sewer service connections, which consist of a grinder pump station, control panel, discharge force main, and other miscellaneous items. Bidders are required to submit their bids on the designated bidding forms included in the Bidding Documents, which must be sealed in an envelope. Each bid must be accompanied by either a Bid Guaranty Bond equal to 100% of the bid amount or a certified check, cashier's check, or letter of credit from a solvent bank for at least 10% of the bid amount, as specified in the Instructions to Bidders. Bid security must be provided in Bond form from a Surety Company licensed in Ohio. The successful bidder will also need to provide a Performance and Payment Bond for 100% of the bid amount. Bidders should pay attention to all requirements in the bid packet, including federal Davis Bacon prevailing wage rates, Build America Buy America provisions, encouragement for Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE) utilization, and Ohio EPA requirements. The Bidding Documents, including Drawings, Specifications, and blank bid forms, can be reviewed and obtained at Access Engineering Solutions, located at 1200 Irmscher Boulevard, Suite B, Celina, Ohio, 45822. There is a fee of $25.00 for an electronic copy and $200.00 for a paper copy of the documents, with an additional $15.00 shipping fee for paper copies. Non-refundable checks should be made payable to Access Engineering Solutions, LLC. Bids will only be accepted from bidders listed on the Engineer's official list of plan holders. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities, irregularities, and errors in the bidding process as permitted by law. No bidder may withdraw a bid within 90 days after the opening date, except as allowed by section 9.31 of the Ohio Revised Code.
