Hollidaysburg Sewer Authority Sludge Hauling and Disposal Bid

Sealed bids are being accepted for the hauling and disposal of digested sewage sludge and grit/screenings for a two-year contract with the Hollidaysburg Sewer Authority. Bids will be received until 1:30 PM on September 18, 2026, at the Office of the Borough Manager located at 401 Blair St., Hollidaysburg, PA, 16648. Late bids will be returned unopened. The bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at the same time and date. The items to be bid include the hauling of approximately 3,000 tons of dewatered sludge, landfill permit modification application, landfill disposal of the sludge, and landfill disposal and hauling of grit and screenings. Bidders must complete the standard bid form provided by the Authority and include a certified check or bidder's bond of at least 10% of the base bid, payable to the Authority. Unsuccessful bidders will have their checks or bonds returned upon the selection of the successful bidder. A Performance Bond will be required for the contracted service. Bid forms and specifications can be obtained at the Office of the Borough Manager during business hours. Each bid must be securely sealed in an envelope marked 'SEALED PROPOSAL - CONTRACT 2026-01, HOLLIDAYSBURG SEWER AUTHORITY SLUDGE HAULING AND DISPOSAL BID.' Bidders cannot withdraw their bids for 60 days after the bid submission date. The Authority reserves the right to hold bids for up to 60 days and may reject any or all bids.
