RFP: Elevator and Wheelchair Lift Preventive Maintenance, Inspection, Testing, Repair, and Emergency

Carteret County is requesting proposals from qualified elevator contractors to provide preventive maintenance, inspections, testing, repairs, emergency response, and related services for County-owned elevator and wheelchair lift equipment.The successful contractor will provide full-service maintenance to ensure equipment remains safe, reliable, code compliant, and operational in accordance with applicable North Carolina regulations and industry standards.Non-Mandatory Site Visit: September 2, 2026, at 8:00 AM, EST302 Courthouse Square, Beaufort, NC 28516 (Front Breezeway)All prospective contractors are encouraged to attend. The site visit is not mandatory; however, contractors electing not to participate shall not be eligible for change orders based on conditions or information that could have been identified during the site visit.Questions: Questions will be accepted until September 16, 2026.Due Date: Proposals addressed to Mr. Ray Farnum are due no later than September 23, 2026, at 10:00 AM, EST.
