Snow Removal Equipment and Operators 2026-2027

The City of Rockford is seeking bids for snow removal equipment and operators for the 2026-2027 season. Bids will be accepted until 11:00 a.m., local time, on September 03, 2026, at the office of the Central Services Manager located in the City Hall Building at 425 East State Street, 4th floor, Rockford, Illinois 61104. All bids received will be publicly opened and read aloud at that time. Bidders must ensure their submissions are delivered before the specified opening time and date, as late submissions will not be accepted. A mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled for Thursday, August 13, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the City Yards Administration Building located at 523 S. Central Ave., Rockford, IL. Only vendors who attend this meeting will be eligible to submit bids. Bid documents can be obtained via email or on the City website at https://rockfordil.gov/bids or by contacting Larry Graham at larry.graham@rockfordil.gov. Additionally, documents can be picked up at the office of the Central Services Manager. Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly marked with the bid name and number. Each bid must include the required compliance information as specified in the bid documents, which ensures adherence to the laws of the State of Illinois regarding Fair Employment Practices and the City of Rockford's Ordinance on Equal Employment and Business Opportunity. Bids that do not include the necessary compliance items will not be read or considered. All contracts for public works are subject to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act. The City of Rockford reserves the right to accept or reject any and all proposals and to waive technicalities.
