The Borough of Belmar is inviting sealed bids for the project involving various door replacements and ADA improvements. Bidders can reach out via phone at 732-955-8000 or by email at RVEmorganvillebids@rve.com to arrange for the purchase of bid documents.Bids will be publicly opened and read at the Belmar Municipal Building located at 601 Main Street, Belmar, NJ, on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, at 11:00 AM prevailing time.Prospective bidders can obtain electronic copies of the bid documents from Remington & Vernick Engineers upon request, with a payment of $50.00 for each set. If bidders cannot download the documents electronically, they can arrange for overnight delivery by calling 732-955-8000. It is important to note that bid documents are not available for pickup at the engineer's office or municipality offices.Payment for bid specifications must be received prior to obtaining them, either by mail or in person. Bids should not be dropped off at the engineer's office. The Borough reserves the right to consider bids for sixty days after receipt and may reject any or all bids, in whole or in part, and waive any informality as deemed in the best interest of the Borough.Bids must be submitted using the forms prepared by Remington and Vernick Engineers, enclosed in sealed envelopes with the bidder's name and address, and reference to the specific work bid upon. Bids should be addressed to Mr. Kevin A. Kane, Borough Administrator, at the municipal address provided. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond executed by the bidder and a surety company, amounting to at least ten percent of the bid but not exceeding $20,000.00. Additionally, a certificate from a surety company indicating it will provide a completion bond must accompany the bid.The contract award is contingent upon the necessary funds being provided by the Borough in a lawful manner, and the contract will not take effect until such funds are secured. The award is also subject to obtaining necessary permits governing the work. Bidders must comply with various legal requirements including affirmative action, prevailing wage laws, and the Americans with Disabilities Act.
