ITB 26-12 Lake Wales Headworks Modification

INVITATION TO BID ITB #26-12 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Lake Wales (“Owner or City”) is accepting sealed bids for: Lake Wales Headworks Modification At 2:00 P.M., prevailing time, on Thursday, September 17, 2026 in the City Commission Chambers at the Municipal Administration Building, 201 Central Ave. W., Lake Wales, Florida, bids will be opened and read aloud. An original, two (2) copies and (1) electronic copy on flash drive of all bids, including all executed documents and needed attachments, shall be placed in a sealed envelope, with label from page 2 of this solicitation affixed and delivered prior to the opening deadline, 2:00 P.M., prevailing time on Thursday, September 17, 2026. Intent The work included in this contract generally consists of the following: 1. Removal and replacement of the existing headworks system, site piping, and electrical system. 2. Construction of new Headworks system, platform walkway and stairs, piping modifications, site work demolition, dewatering, concrete support, concrete pad, electrical, instrumentation and controls. 3. Replacement of existing RAS/WAS pumps, installation of an Influent flow meter and variable frequency drives for the pumps. 4. Installation of Sludge Holding Tank jet mixing system, piping modifications, concrete support, concrete pad. Pre-Bid Meeting and Questions Non-mandatory pre-bid meeting will take place at 10:30 A.M. on Tuesday, August 18, 2026 at the City of Lake Wales City Hall Commissions Chambers at 201 W. Central Avenue, Lake Wales, FL 33853. Access to the project site will be available after the pre-bid meeting. No project questions will be entertained at this time. All questions must be placed in writing as outlined in the bid documents. Questions deadline will be on Tuesday, September 1, 2026 at 2:00 P.M.. Responding to the Invitation to Bid All persons and firms wishing to submit bids must obtain a complete copy of the Invitation to Bid and submit all required forms as outlined in the solicitation document with their response.
