Riverside Drive Downtown Streetscape Improvements

The City of McHenry is accepting sealed bid proposals for the Riverside Drive Downtown Streetscape Improvements. Bids will be received at the McHenry Municipal Center until September 3, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. local time, at which point they will be publicly opened and read. Proposals will be evaluated based on cost, past performance, experience, and ability to perform the work. The City reserves the right to accept the proposal that is in its best interest. The project includes construction of the streetscape of Riverside Drive and replacement of watermain and service lines along the street from Elm Street to Pearl Street. Contract documents can be obtained from QuestCDN via the Christopher B. Burke Engineering Ltd. website or at www.questcdn.com for a non-refundable charge of $40.00. Bidders must be on the Planholder List to have their bids considered. All bids must be accompanied by a bid bond or certified check for 5% of the bid amount. Bids must be submitted on forms provided by the City in a sealed envelope marked accordingly. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids. This contract is considered public works under the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act, requiring compliance with wage rates published by the Illinois Department of Labor. Bidders must also comply with substance abuse prevention policies and provide necessary training certifications.
