Academic Affairs Chiller Replacement

Sealed proposals will be received by the Board of School Commissioners of Mobile County at the Facilities Department Conference Room, 1 Magnum Pass, Building F, Mobile, AL 36618 until 2:00 p.m. local time, on Wednesday September 09, 2026, for the Academic Affairs Chiller Replacement project. At that time and place, the proposals will be publicly opened and read. A cashier's check or bid bond payable to the Board of School Commissioners of Mobile County in an amount not less than five (5) percent of the bid amount, but not more than $10,000.00, must accompany the bidder's proposal. Performance and Payment Bonds and evidence of insurance required in the Bid Documents will be necessary at the signing of the Contract. Drawings and Specifications may be examined at The Architects Group, Inc. located at 710 Downtowner Blvd. Mobile, AL 36609; the Facilities Department of MCPSS at 1 Magnum Pass, Mobile, AL 36618; and at FW Dodge Plan Rooms in Montgomery and Birmingham, as well as through SCAN. A Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. local time on Wednesday August 26, 2026, at the Facilities Department Conference Room, 1 Magnum Pass, Building F, Mobile, AL 36618. Bid Documents may be obtained from The Architects Group, Inc. at (251) 343-1811 upon a deposit of $100.00 (check payable to The Architects Group, Inc.) per set, which will be refunded in full on the first set issued to each general contractor bidder submitting a bona fide bid, upon return of documents in good condition within ten days of the bid date. Other sets for general contractors and sets for subcontractors and dealers may be obtained with the same deposit, which will be refunded as above, less the cost of printing, reproduction, handling, and distribution. Alternatively, bidders may receive a digital set of plans and specifications for a non-refundable fee of $50.00. Bids must be submitted on proposal forms furnished by the Architect or copies thereof. All bidders bidding amounts exceeding the limit established by the State Licensing Board for General Contractors must be licensed under Title 34, Chapter 8, Code of Alabama, 1975, and must show evidence of license before bidding; otherwise, the bid will not be received or considered. The bidder must display their current license number on the outside of the sealed envelope containing the proposal. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive technical errors if it is deemed to promote the best interests of the Owner.
