Re-Roofing and Renovations to Vigor High School Auditorium Building

Sealed proposals will be received by the Board of School Commissioners of Mobile County at 1 Magnum Pass, Mobile, Alabama 36618, in the Facilities Conference Room, Building F, until 2:00 PM local time on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, for the re-roofing and renovations to Vigor High School Auditorium Building for Mobile County Public Schools. At the specified time, the proposals will be publicly opened and read. A mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled for 10:00 AM local time on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at MCPSS in the Facilities Conference Room, Building F. Bidders must submit a cashier's check or bid bond payable to the Board of School Commissioners of Mobile County, amounting to not less than five percent of the bid, but no more than $10,000, with their proposal. Performance and Payment Bonds and proof of insurance will be required at the signing of the contract. Drawings and specifications can be examined at Lathan McKee Architects in Montgomery and F.W. Dodge Plan Rooms in Montgomery and Birmingham. Bid documents can be obtained from Lathan McKee Architects for $75.00 per set, with a full refund available if plans and specifications are returned in good condition within ten days of the bid opening. Bids must be submitted on forms provided by the Board of School Commissioners or copies thereof. Bidders must be licensed under the provisions of Title 34, Chapter 8, Code of Alabama, 1975, and must display their current license number on the outside of the sealed envelope containing their proposal. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive technical errors if it is in the best interest of the Owner.
