2026 Municipal Waste Reduction and Recycling Program in New York State

The NYS Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) administers EPF fundingto local government entities for waste reduction and recycling projects. The goal ofthis program is to assist municipalities to expand or improve local waste reductionand recycling.  Eligible projects include costs for recycling coordination, education,planning and promotion for recycling and waste reduction in order to increase publicawareness of and participation in local recycling programs.
