North Yarmouth Type I Ambulance RFP

The Town of North Yarmouth, Maine is accepting proposals to manufacture and provide one F-550 Type I Ambulance. Sealed bids will be received in the office of the Town Manager by Thursday, September 17, 2026, until 10:00 a.m., at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud on the enclosed specifications for the FIRE DEPARTMENT TYPE 1 F-550 AMBULANCE. The Town reserves the right to accept or reject any and all proposals. Required Pre-Bid Meeting Due to the complexity of this project, there will be a required pre-bid meeting for any vendor wishing to submit an RFP to the Town of North Yarmouth. The required pre-bid meeting will be on Thursday August 13, 2026, at 10:00AM. The meeting will be held at North Yarmouth Fire Rescue located at 463 Walnut Hill Road, North Yarmouth, Maine, 04097. Each bidder shall submit 3 options to the Town of North Yarmouth: - Option 1: Newest model F-550 on a new box adhering to all the specifications as listed. - Option 2: A new F-550 demo truck that can have some modifications made to meet the needs of North Yarmouth Fire Rescue – a list of exceptions will be included as to what does not meet specification, what can be changed and what cannot be changed. - Option 3: Newest model F-550 on a refurbished box that will meet all of today's KKK, state, and federal standards. A list of exceptions will be included as to what does not meet specification, what can be changed and what cannot be changed. Any vendor proposing a new truck on a refurbished box must be certified to remount and upgrade the ambulance body by the manufacturer of said body. Please use a sealed envelope clearly marked with the bid name when submitting your bid. Only sealed bids will be accepted. Faxed and/or emailed bids will not be considered.
