Request for Statement of Qualifications (RFSQ) for Professional Engineering Services

The Consultant shall provide professional engineering services necessary to prepare complete Plans, Specifications, and Estimates (PS&E) for the proposed improvements. Services include roadway intersection and traffic signal design, ADA-compliant pedestrian improvements, pavement markings and signing, preparation of construction cost estimates, and development of final bid-ready construction documents.The anticipated project kickoff is November 2026. The selected firm shall have the 60% design set submitted to the City of DeSoto no later than February 15, 2027, and 100% design set submitted to the City of DeSoto no later than August 31, 2027. The selected firm shall be required to work closely with the Engineering Division staff to provide professional services as stated in the scope of work. The selected firm will coordinate with the City of DeSoto Engineering staff and TxDOT Dallas District office until the design is complete.
