Cape Elizabeth Riverside Cemetery Phase 5

The Town of Cape Elizabeth is seeking sealed bids for the construction of the Riverside Cemetery Phase 5 project. Bids will be accepted at the Town Manager's office located at 320 Ocean House Road until Thursday, September 3, 2026, at 2:00 PM local time. Any bids submitted after this deadline will not be considered. Bidders must submit their proposals in a single sealed envelope clearly marked 'Cape Elizabeth Riverside Cemetery Phase 5'. The project involves site clearing, tree and stump removal, rock removal, regrading, and loam and seeding for 293 new burial plots. The contract will be awarded to the responsible bidder with the lowest total bid that meets the conditions outlined in the Notice and Bid Form. The anticipated start date for the project is after September 30, 2026, with a completion deadline of June 1, 2027. Plans and specifications will be available starting Wednesday, August 5, 2026, after 10:00 AM. A non-mandatory pre-bid conference will take place on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at 9:00 AM at Cape Elizabeth Town Hall. Bids must include a bid security of 5% of the maximum bid price in the form of a certified check or bid bond. Bids cannot be withdrawn for 60 days after submission unless released by the Owner. The successful bidder must provide the required documents within 10 calendar days after receiving the Notice of Award and begin work within 10 calendar days following the Notice to Proceed. The Town reserves the right to reject any and all proposals.
