RFQ-26-51 Bentonville Parks and Recreation 10 Year Master Plan

The City of Bentonville is accepting Annual Letters of Interest and Statements of Qualifications (SOQs) from qualified, experienced, and appropriately licensed professional firms to provide professional services, as defined in Arkansas Code § 19-11-801 and described herein. Submissions will be evaluated for consideration to provide these services on an as-needed basis for 2026 City projects.The City of Bentonville, Arkansas (City), through its Parks and Recreation Department (BPR), seeks to retain a qualified multidisciplinary consultant team (Consultant) with expertise in long-range parks and recreation planning, landscape architecture, community engagement, facility and program analysis, operations, and financial planning. The Consultant will develop a new ten-year Parks and Recreation Master Plan for the Bentonville parks system. BPR develops a long-range plan every ten years to guide land acquisition, capital improvements, operations, and the development of programs and amenities. BPR is partnering with the Walton Family Foundation Design Excellence Program to create a comprehensive and implementable plan that supports the department's goal of operating at a Gold Medal level.Bentonville is experiencing rapid growth and a quickly changing landscape. The selected Consultant must evaluate the current needs of a community of more than 65,000 residents and project how population growth, demographic change, and development patterns will shape recreation needs during the next decade.
