RFQ 2027-1 Bridge Repair Services for Veterans Parkway

NOTICE TO CONSULTANT ENGINEERS REGARDING A REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS AND LETTERS OF INTERESTRFQ #2027-1 Bridge Repair Services for Veterans Parkway The City of Millington is soliciting Statements of Qualifications (SOQ) from qualified professional engineering firms to provide bridge repair engineering services for the Veterans Parkway Bridge over an unnamed tributary of North Fork Creek and the Canadian National Illinois Central Railroad (Bridge ID No. 790N0070005).This procurement will be conducted as a qualifications-based selection (QBS) process. Cost or pricing information shall not be included in the submittal.PROJECT DESCRIPTIONThe project consists of the repair of bridge bearing elements at the abutments of the Veterans Parkway Bridge over said unnamed tributary of North Fork Creek and the Canadian National Railroad.  The work is anticipated to directly address the failed bearing connections at each abutment.The consultant shall provide professional engineering services necessary to evaluate existing conditions, develop repair details, prepare construction documents, and assist the City through bidding and construction as authorized.REQUIRED SCOPE OF SERVICESSUBMISSION REQUIREMENTSStatements of Qualifications shall include a cover letter, firm qualifications, project team qualifications, project approach, relevant project experience, and identification of subconsultants. SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS  Submit 3 copies in a sealed envelope marked:  “RFQ #2027-1 – Bridge Repair Services for Veterans Parkway   Deliver to: City of Millington Attn: Karen Findley, City Clerk 7930 Nelson Street Millington, TN 38053  Submittals must be received by Thursday, August 20, 2026 at 10:00 am Central Time.SELECTION PROCESS  Statements of Qualifications will be evaluated based on firm experience, personnel qualifications, project understanding, and staff availability. The City reserves the right to conduct interviews with top-ranked firms.CONTRACT AND COMPENSATION  The selected firm will enter into a professional services agreement with the City of Millington.
