Uniform Rental and Laundry Services

The RTA is seeking proposals from qualified Proposers to provide Uniform Rental & Laundry Services for RTA work uniforms for maintenance mechanics and utility worker staff, as well as shop rags and floor walk-off mats as specified in Exhibit 1 Scope of Services. The RTA Bus Maintenance Facility (BMF) operates seven (7) days per week. Due to the nature of the mechanical work involved, the employees will require changing of uniforms daily. The Proposer will provide rental, laundering and delivery of uniforms (pants, shirts, jackets), coveralls, shop rags and floor mats for three (3) RTA facility locations: * BMF located at 253 Elks Lane, San Luis Obispo, CA 93401 (Uniforms, shop rags and floor mats)* South County Transit (SCT) located at 800 Rodeo Drive, Arroyo Grande, CA 93420 (shop rags and floor mats)* Paso Yard located at 1734 Paso Robles Street, Paso Robles, CA. 93446 (shop rags and floor mats). Services shall include laundering and repair of rented uniforms and laundering of the RTA uniforms. Rental of items such as shop towels, and mats are also included. The Proposer will be required to upgrade uniforms, linens, and mats with new items as needed at no cost to the RTA. Proposer will furnish all materials, labor services (including laundering, pressing and delivery) and special skills (including repair and/or replacement) required to provide this service per bid specifications. The RTA expects the Proposer to maintain the uniforms in acceptable condition. The Proposer shall obtain all of the appropriate insurance coverage within the prescribed minimum limits and abide by all Federal Transportation Administration (FTA) procurement regulations.
