Monroe Randolph Transit District - New Facility

Sealed bids are requested for the construction of a new facility for Monroe-Randolph Transit District located at 1601 N. Hillcrest Dr., Sparta, IL 62286. Bids will be received at MRTD's office at 1320 Melmar Dr. until 11 a.m. on Thursday, September 3, 2026, after which they will be publicly opened and read aloud. The Contract Documents can be examined at the office of the Architect, Quadrant Design, located at 135 South Main Street, Waterloo, IL 62298. Plans are also available for viewing at the Southern Illinois Builder's Association plan rooms. Electronic PDF or paper copies of the Contract Documents can be obtained from Quadrant Design by contacting Jennifer Eckart at jeckart@quadrantdesign.com. There is no charge for electronic copies, while paper copies are available for purchase. Bidders are encouraged to register with the Architect for Addenda distribution. A pre-bid meeting is scheduled for 9 a.m. on Thursday, August 13, 2026, at the MRTD office, although attendance is not mandatory. The contractor must comply with all State and Local laws and regulations, including prevailing wage laws. MRTD reserves the right to waive irregularities and reject any or all bids. Acceptance of any bid is subject to concurrence by the Illinois Department of Transportation.
