On-Call Commercial Painting And Coating Services

NOTICE INVITING BIDS - The City of Chico will receive sealed bids at 965 Fir Street, Chico, CA 95928 (mailing address: P.O. Box 3420, Chico CA 95927 ATTN: Public Works O&M), until 1:00 p.m. (Pacific Standard Time) on August 13, 2026 at which time the bids will be opened and read aloud. Once the results have been determined by staff, bid results may be obtained on the Public Purchase website under Bid # 2026 – ON-CALL PAINTING. GENERAL WORK DESCRIPTION – The City of Chico is requesting proposals from qualified painting contractors to provide labor, equipment, materials, and services in connection with interior and exterior painting and coatings for City facilities on an on-call basis. The City intends to award to a primary contractor and secondary contractor for these services. The Contract period shall be one (1) year with the option to renew for up to four (4) additional one (1) year periods (maximum total of 5 years). LICENSING REQUIREMENTS – The Contractor shall possess a current and valid California Contractor State Licensing Board (CSLB) C-33 Painting and Decorating license, and any additional certifications or licenses required to handle lead-based paint abatement or remediation. The contractor shall maintain the same in a current status for the duration of the project. Upon award of contract, Contractor shall obtain a City of Chico Business License and shall maintain same in a current status for the duration of the project.
