1.01 Project SummaryContract Number: 11847.61Project Title: Runway 19L, 28L & 28R Timber Trestle ImprovementsDelivery Type: Design-Bid-BuildFunding: Local Funding Source 1.02 Project Description:The Runway 19L, 28L, and 28R Timber Trestles Improvement Project (Project) will implement safety improvements on the trestles serving Runways 19L, 28L, and 28R. These trestles support Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) approach lighting systems that are critical to aircraft landing operations. The Project will improve safe access for maintenance personnel, and extend the service life of the trestles by more than 10 years.  1.03 Contract Duration:The Contract Time is 219 total consecutive calendar days after the effective date indicated in the Notice to Proceed. See Document 00 54 39 (Contract Time and Liquidated Damages) for additional details.  1.04 Estimate:The estimated cost of construction is $13,500,000 - $15,700,000.  1.05 License Requirements:California Class “A” license is required at the time of Bid. 1.06 LBE Subcontracting Requirement:The Local Business Enterprise (LBE) subcontracting requirement is 0% of the Contract Sum.  1.07 Pre-Bid Meeting:A virtual pre-bid meeting will be held at 10:00 am, Pacific Time, on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, using Microsoft Teams video conferencing.
