Hershey Rail Package

The Nebraska International Port of the Plains (NIPP) is seeking bids for the Hershey Rail Package. The work involves the construction of a railroad infrastructure improvement project which includes civil site work, track demolition, grading and excavation, storm drainage construction, track subgrade preparation, ballast installation, and the construction of railroad yard and Union Pacific Railroad (UPRR) mainline tracks.There will be an optional virtual pre-bid meeting on August 3rd at 1:00 pm CT, which can be accessed via Microsoft Teams. Additionally, an optional site inspection is scheduled for August 11, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. CT. Bidders planning to attend the site inspection should notify the contact email provided.Bidders are encouraged to download the plans, specifications, and bid documents from the Lincoln County website. All bidders must ensure that their on-site employees are eRailSafe certified prior to accessing the construction site. Furthermore, contractors and subcontractors must complete a 10-hour OSHA construction safety program within sixty days of starting work on the project.A bid bond of 5% is required with each bid submission. The Nebraska International Port of the Plains reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
