Western Water Company Water Treatment Plant Expansion and Wellfield Improvement Project

The project involves the expansion of the existing water treatment building to accommodate an additional softening treatment train, which includes a horizontal pressure filter and a vertical ion exchange softener. A new brine tank will be installed to supply the ion exchange softener, and the existing underground brine backwash tanks will be excavated and replaced with a backwash lagoon. Additionally, the wellfield improvements will consist of a new booster pump station and the development of one new well, alongside piping, electrical, lighting, instrumentation, and control upgrades. A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held via Microsoft Teams on August 14th from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm. Bidders can join the meeting using the provided Teams link or dial in by phone. All bids must comply with the Instructions to Bidders and Contract Documents, which will be available for examination and download online. Interested bidders should register as plan holders by emailing both Mark Upite at Burgess & Niple, Inc. and Scott Kirk at Western Water Company. Access to the bidding documents is free, and hard copies can be viewed in person at specified locations during normal business hours. Bids will be accepted until September 21, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. local time. Bids must be submitted on a lump sum basis for the base bid and include a separate price for each alternate as outlined in the Contract Documents. Bid security in the form of a certified check or bid bond must accompany each bid. The successful bidder will need to provide a Construction Payment Bond and a Construction Performance Bond. Bids will remain valid for 120 days after the bid opening date.
