Request for Proposals: RWHAP Part A Food and Meal Services for PWH, Medical Nutrition Therapy Services for PWH, and Legal Services for PWH in NYC

The NYC Health Department is the recipient of the RWHAP Part A Emergency Relief grant from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS)’s HRSA. These funds are used to support core medical and support services for PWH in eligible metropolitan areas (EMAs) hardest hit by the HIV epidemic. The NY HIV Planning Council recently approved two new directives aimed at supporting PWH in the NY EMA. The first directive, Food and Nutrition Services (FNS) aims to address food insecurity and meet the food and nutrition needs of PWH living in NYC. The second service directive, Legal Services was developed to improve access to Legal Services directly related to HIV in order to engage and retain PWH in NYC in HIV treatment and care. PHS, on behalf of the NYC Health Department, is soliciting proposals from eligible applicants in response to the two new NY HIV Planning Council directives via three service categories: • Service Category 1 (SC1): Food and Meal Services for People with HIV in NYC • Service Category 2 (SC2): Medical Nutrition Therapy Services for People with HIV in NYC o Funding for Medical Nutrition Therapy Services for People with HIV in NYC (SC2) will only be available to applicants who submit a proposal and successfully receive an award for both Food and Meals Services in NYC (SC 1) and Medical Nutrition Therapy Services in NYC (SC2). Therefore, applicants for SC2 must also apply for SC1. This includes a separate, complete proposal submission with all the required documents needed for SC1 along with a complete proposal submission with all required documents needed for SC2. • Service Category 3 (SC3): Legal Services for People with HIV in NYC
