Orono Elementary School / Intermediate School Tuckpoint Project

Independent School District #278 is seeking sealed bids for the Tuckpoint Project at Orono Elementary School / Intermediate School. Bids must be submitted by 2:00 p.m. local time on December 11, 2026, at the Orono Schools District Office located at 685 Old Crystal Bay Road North, Orono, Minnesota 55356. At the specified time, all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.An optional pre-bid walkthrough is scheduled for Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. Participants are to meet at the District Office Doors at 685 Old Crystal Bay Road North, Long Lake, Minnesota 55356.Bidding documents, which include the Proposal Form, Drawings, and Specifications, will be available at various plan centers including the Minnesota Builders Exchange and McGraw Hill Construction/Dodge Plan Center. Additionally, they can be downloaded from the American Reprographics Company website starting November 20, 2025. A deposit of $25 is required for each set downloaded.Bidders must use the forms provided in the Project Manual for their proposals. Oral, telegraphic, or telephonic proposals will not be accepted. Each bid must include a certified check or acceptable bidder’s bond for 5% of the total bid amount. The successful bidder will also need to provide a Labor and Material Payment Bond and a Performance Bond.Bids cannot be withdrawn for 30 days after the opening without the Owner's consent. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bidding process. The project must reach substantial completion by August 21, 2026.
