Ramsay High School Auditorium A/V Package

Birmingham City Schools is inviting sealed bids for the Ramsay High School Auditorium A/V Package. Bids must be submitted to the Purchasing Department at Room 202, 2015 Park Place, North, Birmingham, Alabama 35203 by Thursday, September 10, 2026, until 10:00 a.m. CST. All bids received on time will be opened and read aloud at that time. Late submissions will not be accepted.A mandatory pre-bid conference is scheduled for Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. CST at the Birmingham Board of Education, located at the same address. This meeting aims to review the project and answer any questions from bidders. While attendance is not required, it is highly recommended. A site tour will also be provided during this conference.Bidders must submit any questions regarding the bid process or specifications in writing to Edward McMullen, Director of Purchasing, at purchasing@bhm.k12.al.us. All questions and answers, along with requests for clarifications, will be posted on the District's website at www.bhamcityschools.org/Page/332. The Birmingham City Schools encourages the participation of MBE/DBE firms in its projects.Each bid must include a cashier's check or bid bond made out to Birmingham City Schools for at least five percent of the bid amount, not exceeding $10,000. Performance and Payment Bonds, along with proof of insurance, will be required upon signing the contract.Bids should be submitted using the provided bid forms. Bidders whose bids exceed the limits set by the State Licensing Board for General Contractors must be licensed according to Title 34, Chapter 8, Code of Alabama 1975, and must include their current license number on the outside of the sealed envelope. Bids cannot be withdrawn for 90 days after the closing time for submissions. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive technical errors if it serves the best interest of the Owner.
