Corporate Hangars

Sealed proposals are being accepted for the Corporate Hangars project at Laurinburg-Maxton Airport in Maxton, North Carolina. This project involves new construction that includes site preparations, utility services, and the building of two new 120' x 100' Corporate Hangar buildings, along with associated aprons and an auto access driveway and parking area. A Pre-Bid Conference is scheduled for Thursday, September 10, 2026, at 2:00 PM at the Airport Terminal Building. Attendance is non-mandatory, and all interested parties, including subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors, are encouraged to attend. Proposals must be submitted in sealed envelopes that clearly display the Bidder's name, mailing address, and General Contractor License Number. These envelopes should be addressed to the Southeast Regional Airport, Seth Hatchell, Executive, at 16701 Airport Road, Maxton, NC 28364. Proposals that do not include the required information may be rejected. It is important to note that the date, time, and location for Proposal Submittal and Opening may change via Addendum. Plans, Specifications, and Contract Documents can be examined at the Ardurra Group North Carolina office located at 1213 W. Morehead Street, Suite 300, Charlotte, NC 28208. They are available for purchase through the Plan Room at www.wkdicksonplanroom.com/. Only registered plan holders may bid as General Contractors. All contractors must have the appropriate licenses as per state law for their respective trades. General Contractors must adhere to applicable statutes of North Carolina during the bidding process. The North Carolina Department of Transportation will reimburse the Owner for portions of the project costs, and proposals from contractors listed as ineligible by the Comptroller General will not be accepted. Contractors wishing to work on NCDOT projects must pre-qualify with the Department. After pre-qualification, they will be added to the Prequalified Bidders List or Approved Subcontractors List. Pre-qualification requirements are detailed in section 102-2 of the Standard Specifications for Roads and Structures. For more details, visit the NCDOT website. Each proposal must include a cash deposit or certified check of at least 5% of the proposal amount or a bid bond of 5% executed by a licensed surety company. These deposits will be retained as liquidated damages if the successful bidder fails to execute the contract within ten days after the award. By submitting a bid, the Contractor certifies they have the necessary resources to complete the work as specified. Bids may only be withdrawn in accordance with North Carolina statutes. If a bid is withdrawn within 90 days of the opening, the Bid Guarantee will be forfeited unless the request to withdraw is made within 72 hours after the opening. Mandatory federal and state requirements will apply to this solicitation, including Buy American Preference, Foreign Trade Restrictions, and Equal Employment Opportunity regulations. The Southeast Regional Airport Authority practices nondiscrimination based on race, color, sex, or national origin in contract awards. All firms qualifying under this solicitation are encouraged to submit bids. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities and minor irregularities.
