INVITATION TO BIDAUDRAIN MEDICAL CENTER DEMOLITION – PHASE IISealed bids will be received for the Audrain Medical Center Demolition – Phase II project until 2:00pm local time on the 8th day of October, 2026, at 3rd Floor City Hall, 300 North Coal Street, Mexico, Missouri 65265, at which time and place all bids will be opened and read aloud.Work shall include all labor, equipment, and material necessary to demolish, haul away debris, and restore an area within the former Audrain Medical Center premises as defined in the bidding documents. A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held at the Audrain Medical Center Main Complex on-site, 620 E Monroe Street, Mexico, Missouri 65265 on September 16th at 10am. For a bid to be considered valid, the bidder must be registered as a Plan Holder with the Public Works Department AND have attended the pre-bid meeting. All equipment, materials and workmanship must be in accordance with the drawings and specifications on file with the City of Mexico’s Public Works Department, 300 North Coal Street, City of Mexico, Missouri 65265. Copies of the bidding documents may be obtained by contacting the Public Works Department at 573-581-2100 (ext. 3).No Bidder may withdraw their bid for a period of 60 days after the date of opening of bids.A certified or cashier’s check or a bid bond in the amount of 5% shall be submitted with each proposal. Audrain County and the City of Mexico hereby notify all bidders that they will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, businesses owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, religion, creed, sex, ancestry, or national origin in consideration for an award.Bidder shall provide a ten (10) hour Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) construction safety program for their on-site employees within 60 Days of beginning work on the project. Failure to provide training and maintain documentation of the training, may result in penalties under RSMO 292.675.Missouri Department of Labor Standards regarding payment of Prevailing Wage Rates shall be followed for all projects. Any bid over $75,000 shall meet the Prevailing Wage Rates set forth by the annual wage order included in the bidding documents.The contract, if awarded, will be awarded to the lowest, responsive, responsible bidder complying with the Conditions of the Contract Documents within the Owner’s budget. The Bidder to whom the awards are made will be notified at the earliest possible date. The Owner; however, reserves the right to reject any and all Bids and to waive any informality in Bids received whenever such rejection or waiver is in their interest.
