2025 NJDOT Safe Streets to Transit

The City of Passaic is seeking sealed rebid proposals for the 2025 NJDOT Safe Streets to Transit project. Proposals will be received on Tuesday, September 29th, 2026 at 10:30 A.M. in the Purchasing Conference Room, located on the 2nd floor at 330 Passaic Street, Passaic, New Jersey. The proposals will be publicly opened and read aloud. Interested bidders can download copies of the plans, specifications, and contract documents from the City of Passaic's website at www.cityofpassaic.com. Bidders must submit their proposals using the standard proposal form provided, along with a Proposal Guarantee in the form of a Bid Bond from a licensed Surety/Bonding Company, a Certified Check, or Cashier's Check amounting to ten percent of the total bid but not exceeding $20,000. Additionally, a Certificate of Surety from a licensed Surety Company must be included, confirming the provision of a Performance Bond for the total bid amount. Successful contractors will also need to submit a Payment Bond and Maintenance Bond as outlined in the Instruction to Bidders. Proposals, Proposal Guarantees, and Certificates of Surety should be enclosed in a sealed envelope addressed to the City of Passaic, Division of Purchasing, at the specified address, with the name and address of the bidder clearly marked on the envelope along with the contract title. The City of Passaic will only forward addendums or clarifications to bidders who obtained specifications directly from the Division of Purchasing or who have notified the Division of Purchasing of their receipt of the specifications. Bidders are required to comply with N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et. seq., and N.J.A.C. 17:27. The successful bidder must adhere to prevailing wage rates as determined by the New Jersey Department of Labor. The City Council reserves the right to consider bids for sixty days after receipt.
