Solid Waste Material Collection & Disposal Services

The Borough of Allentown is inviting bids for the collection and disposal of solid waste. Bids are due on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, at 11:00 A.M. in the Council Chambers of the Allentown Borough Hall, located at 8 North Main Street, Allentown, New Jersey 08501. The contract includes the automated collection of solid waste using existing carts. Bidders must submit their proposals to the Borough Clerk or her representative by the specified deadline. Specifications and additional information have been prepared by Cameron Corini, P.E., C.M.E., C.P.W.M. of Roberts Engineering Group, LLC, and are available at the Engineer's office at 1670 Whitehorse-Hamilton Square Road, Hamilton, New Jersey (phone: 609-586-1141). Bids can be obtained on Tuesdays and Thursdays during regular business hours from 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M., or can be sent via FedEx or USPS for a fee of $15.00. Payment should be made by check to Roberts Engineering Group, LLC. Bids must be submitted using the provided forms and in accordance with the specifications outlined in the Instructions to Bidders and other documents. To ensure that all bidders receive complete bid documentation, including any amendments, bidders must obtain the documentation directly from the Borough Engineer, Cameron Corini, by registering and paying the required fee. Failure to follow the registration procedure will result in the bid being deemed incomplete and rejected. Bidders must comply with the Local Public Contracts Law, the Prevailing Wage Act, and other relevant regulations. A copy of the Business Registration Certificate must be included with the bid submission. Bids should be submitted in sealed opaque envelopes, clearly marked with the bidder's name and project title, and must include a Non-Collusion Affidavit and a bid bond or certified check of at least 10% of the bid amount, with a maximum of $20,000.00 and a minimum of $500.00. Bids must be delivered by the specified time and date. The Borough reserves the right to reject any or all bids or accept the bid that best serves its interests.
