REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL 2026 WATER METER REPLACEMENTS CITY JOB NO. 611-D6-2616 RFP #26-046   ELECTRONIC or SEALED Proposals Due by 2:00 PM CST, Thursday, September 3, 2026   SCOPE: The City of Bryan (COB) is seeking to replace aging ¾” and 1” iPERL water meters. The Water Department began implementing AMI meters in 2014. The meters installed during the initial implementation are reaching end of life with failing batteries. The City intends to replace approximately 20,000 AMI water meters over the next 4 years and is seeking a qualified contractor to begin Phase One of the replacement project. Phase One will require exchanging approximately 5,000 water meters and 3,700 smartpoints. The City of Bryan will provide the necessary materials (meters, smart points, meter boxes, meter box lids, cut off valves) for the project, excluding meter gaskets. The contractor is to bid the labor and associated equipment to execute the work.
