Water Plant #5

The City of McHenry is seeking bids for the construction of Water Plant #5. This project involves building a 3,000 square foot facility on a 1-acre site to function as a 500-gallon per minute water treatment plant. The construction will include brick and CMU walls, a concrete slab with a backwash basin, a wood truss roof, steel roof panels, various chemical feed systems, HVAC, electrical and automation systems, site piping improvements, a natural gas generator, and perimeter fencing. A pre-bid conference will be held on September 10, 2026, at 10:00 AM at the City of McHenry Public Works Department. Attendance is mandatory for all bidders. Bidders must submit their bids with a Bidder's bond, certified check, or bank draft amounting to 10% of the total bid. The City Council retains the right to reject any or all bids and will award the contract to the lowest responsible bidder unless there are valid reasons for rejection.
