135th Street at Ridge Road Traffic Signalization Project

The Village of Plainfield is seeking bids for the 135th Street at Ridge Road Traffic Signalization Project. This project involves the installation of new traffic signals and street lighting at the intersection of 135th Street and Ridge Road. Additionally, it includes ADA sidewalk improvements and modifications to the roadway and median at the intersection. Bids will be accepted electronically through QuestCDN.com using their VirtuBidTM online service. The deadline for submitting bids is 10:00 AM on September 10, 2026. Note that there is a non-refundable fee for submitting a bid. Prospective bidders are required to purchase contract documents through Quest Construction Data Network (QuestCDN). To access the documents, visit the QuestCDN website and use the project number 10327367 to find the job. A non-refundable fee is also required to download the contract documents in PDF format. Bids from bidders who have not purchased the contract documents will not be accepted. The successful bidder must comply with the Illinois statute regarding wages of employees on public works. Furthermore, the successful bidder will need to provide a satisfactory payment bond and performance bond, each amounting to 100% of the contract. A certified check, bank draft, satisfactory bid bond, or cash, payable to the Village of Plainfield, must be submitted with each bid, amounting to no less than five percent of the bid. The Village of Plainfield reserves the right to reject any bids from nonresponsive or non-responsible bidders and may waive any informality for its benefit. Bidders may withdraw their bids prior to the opening, but no bid can be withdrawn after the opening without the Village's consent for a period of sixty days.
