The Director of Public Safety of the City of Canton, Ohio will accept sealed bids until 2:00 PM local time on September 16, 2026 for the Remedial Activities at the Former Ohio Cast Products site located at 2408 13th Street NE, Canton, Ohio. Any bid not received by the deadline will be disqualified. Shortly after the submission deadline, the bids will be publicly opened and read aloud in the Sixth-Floor Conference Room of Canton City Hall. All bids must be submitted to the City of Canton Purchasing Department at 218 Cleveland Avenue SW, Purchasing Department/Fourth Floor, Canton, Ohio 44702, following the instructions provided in the Invitation to Bid posted on the City of Canton Purchasing Department website. A certified check, cashier's check, or surety bond made payable to the City of Canton must accompany the bid as a guarantee for the contract and its performance. The required amount for the bid bond is five hundred dollars ($500.00). The Director of Public Safety reserves the right to waive any technical defects in the submitted bid bond as long as it complies with State law. If a bid is not awarded or is rejected, the check or bond will be returned to the bidder after the contract execution. Bidders are responsible for monitoring the City of Canton Purchasing Department website for any official addenda.
