Southside Firehouse Parking Lot Improvements

The Township of Scotch Plains is seeking sealed bids for the Southside Firehouse Parking Lot Improvements project at Scotch Plains Township Hall, located at 430 Park Avenue, Scotch Plains, New Jersey, 07076. Bids will be received by the Township Clerk on Thursday, September 10, 2026, at 10:00 AM Local Prevailing Time. Drawings, specifications, and bid forms will be available at the office of the Engineer, David R. Atkinson, PE, PP, CME, located at 200 Central Avenue, Suite 102, Mountainside, NJ, starting Friday, August 28, 2026, at 12:00 PM local prevailing time. Prospective bidders can examine these documents at no cost during business hours. Bidders may request copies of the specifications and plans from the Engineer, which will be provided upon proper notice and a non-refundable payment of $10.00 for a digital thumb drive or $200.00 for a hard copy. Bids must be submitted on Standard Proposal Forms as specified, enclosed in sealed envelopes with the bidder's name and project name clearly marked. Bids must include a non-collusion affidavit and a certified check or bid bond of at least 10% of the bid amount, with a maximum of $20,000.00 and a minimum of $500.00, as well as a consent of surety from an authorized surety company. Bids should be sent via overnight delivery or certified mail to the Township Clerk at the specified address. It is recommended to ensure bids are delivered before the bid opening date, as the Township is not responsible for lost or late bids. The Standard Proposal Form and non-collusion affidavit are included in the specifications, which can be obtained from the Engineer. Bidders must comply with New Jersey's affirmative action and business registration requirements. All bids shall remain valid for 60 days, and the Township reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
