Merrick County, Nebraska is seeking sealed bids for the provision of necessary equipment, labor, materials, and other incidentals required to complete the replacement of Structure No. C006111315. Bids will be accepted by the Merrick County Clerk at the County Courthouse located at 1510 18th Street, Central City, NE 68826 until 10:00 am local time on September 18, 2026, at which point they will be publicly opened and read aloud.The scope of work includes traffic control, removal of the existing bridge, earthwork, construction of a Quad 12'x8'x40' reinforced concrete box culvert, 9" concrete pavement, and related tasks.Bidders must submit their proposals to Ms. Trisha Fate-Strobel, County Clerk, at P.O. Box 27, Central City, NE 68826, ensuring that the project name is clearly indicated on the envelope.All bids must include a Bid Bond amounting to 5% of the total base bid, which can be in the form of a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond made payable to the Owner. The selected bidder will be required to provide both a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, each equating to 100% of the total base bid.Contract documents can be obtained by reaching out to Oak Creek Engineering at (308) 455-1152. Note that these documents must be purchased in hard copy format for a nonrefundable fee of $50.00. Bids should be submitted on the provided forms, sealed, and marked with the bidder's contact information. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, hold them for 30 days, and select the most advantageous bid.
