Rfb-2915 Airport Grade Deicing Sand For Elmira Corning Regional Airport

1.       GENERAL: Chemung County purchases Airport Grade De-Icing Sand for use at the Elmira Corning Regional Airport (ECRA).   a.      The Elmira Corning Regional Airport (ECRA) estimates it will purchase approximately three hundred (300) total tons of Airport Grade Deicing Sand per year. Material is typically purchased during the fall season in preparation for winter operations; however, the Owner reserves the right to place additional orders during the contract term, if operational needs are required. This estimate is provided for bidding purposes only and shall not be construed to represent either minimum or maximum quantities to be ordered. Bidders shall provide Airport Grade Deicing Sand that meets the requirements of Advisory Circular 150/5200-30D at the bid price without regard to actual quantities ordered.
