Sievers Lane & John Street Sidewalk Improvements

The Township of South Hackensack is seeking sealed bids for the Sievers Lane & John Street Sidewalk Improvements project, which is funded by NJDOT MA25. Bids will be received at the Township Municipal Building on October 1, 2026, at 10:30 AM, where they will be publicly opened and read aloud. Proposals submitted after this time will not be accepted.The work includes sidewalk construction along John Street from Sievers Lane to Calicooneck Road, which involves ADA ramp reconstruction, sidewalk and driveway restoration, curb reconstruction, and tree removals. Additionally, Alternate Bid 1 covers sidewalk work along Sievers Lane from the Little Ferry boundary to Moonachie Road, including ADA curb ramp reconstruction and select tree removals.Bid documents, including drawings and specifications, will be available at the office of Neglia Group starting August 21, 2026, at 10:00 AM. Bidders can examine these documents at no cost during business hours. Upon request, bidders will receive a copy of the specifications and plans for a non-refundable fee of $10.00 for a digital thumb drive or $200.00 for a hard copy.Bids must be submitted using the Standard Proposal Forms provided in the specifications, enclosed in sealed envelopes with the bidder's name and project name clearly marked. Bids must include a non-collusion affidavit and a certified check or bid bond of at least 10% of the bid amount, with a maximum of $20,000.00 and a minimum of $500.00. A consent of surety is also required. Bids should be mailed or hand-delivered to the Township Clerk at the Municipal Building.Bidders must comply with New Jersey's affirmative action requirements and provide proof of business registration as mandated by state law. All bids are irrevocable for 30 days, and the Township reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
