Purchase of Prenfish

Prenfish has a proven track record as an effective product that has been used successfully to achieve management goals for Fisheries. It is the only form of liquid Rotenone registered for use in New York State as a piscicide. Other methods to remove fish from a water body have been tested and found to be not sufficient in providing the complete removal of fish. The complete removal of all non-native fish species from a waterbody must occur for the successful creation of a brood stock source of round whitefish. Suppliers must be licensed to sell pesticides in NYS by the Bureau of Pesticides from DEC. The Department intends to award this work pursuant to its discretionary purchasing authority under State Finance Law §163(6) and therefore has not issued an open solicitation for quotes. If your firm believes you can carry out this work, please sendalong any supporting information and the Department will consider it for this and any potential future awards. Offerors shall adhere to the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation Guidelines Regarding Permissible Contacts During a Procurement and the Prohibition of Inappropriate Lobbying Influence.  All correspondence and/or questions relating to this procurement should be directed to the Department’s primary contact.
