Northern Sector Crushing Operations, CIP 700001. The work to be performed shall include, but not be limited to: Crushing of existing stockpile of Portland cement concrete and asphalt concrete into crushed miscellaneous base (CMB) per the “Standard Specifications for Public Works Construction”, 2024 Edition and Current Supplement(s) (“Greenbook”), Section 200-2.4. An active demolition project within the project area has been removing existing Portland cement concrete, asphalt concrete, and cement treated base (CTB) and processing the material into approximately sized 2”x2”x2” cubes and removing and disposing of reinforced steel rebars that protrude outside of the cube. Such material has been placed into a stockpile roughly as depicted on the project plans that is to be crushed with this contract, and other items not mentioned here, but are required by the Special Provisions. Additionally, current construction projects in the vicinity may retrieve crushed base from this project while this crushing operation is ongoing.
