The Peoria Park District, located in Peoria, Illinois, is seeking sealed bids for the project titled 'Site Improvements Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Park' located at 825 W. McBean, Peoria, IL. The Owner intends to receive Base Bids for this project. Bids will be accepted until 1:00 PM prevailing time on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, at the Peoria Park District Administrative Office, 1125 W. Lake Ave., Peoria, Illinois 61614. The official timekeeping device for the bid submission deadline will be the clock in the Board Room. An electronic file of the Bid Documents is available for free at www.peoriaparks-planning.org. Printed Bid Documents, including Plans and Specifications, can be obtained at the Planning, Design & Construction Department located at Bradley Park Equipment Service, 1314 N. Park Road, Peoria, IL 61604. A non-refundable plan deposit of $250.00 is required for each printed set of Bid Documents. A list of planholders can be requested and will be available up to 24 hours before the scheduled bid opening. After that, no project-related information will be provided. A 10% Bid Bond is required to be included with the Bid Proposal. The successful Bidder must provide a 100% Performance Bond and a 100% Labor and Materials Payment Bond within ten days of the formal Award of Contract. The general prevailing wage for the Peoria area must be paid for all workers involved in this contract, as mandated by the State of Illinois Department of Labor. Bidders must also comply with the Illinois Preference Act, the Illinois Drug Free Workplace Act, and the Substance Abuse Prevention on Public Works Act. Additionally, contract documents include provisions for non-discrimination, equal opportunity, and affirmative action as per the Human Rights Act. The Peoria Park District encourages participation from minority and female-owned firms. The District reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive technical deficiencies, informalities, or irregularities, or rebid any project. This project is partially funded by a Community Development Block Grant awarded to the City of Peoria, IL.
