Rfb-384 Property Maintenance For The City Of Elmira

As referenced by the New York State Property Maintenance Code, the City of Elmira has the right and obligation to compel owners and/or occupants of property to maintain their properties to minimum standards. These include removing, cutting or trimming grass, growth and weeds where the height is greater than 10 inches, the removal of garbage, trash and refuse, removal of snow and ice from sidewalks and miscellaneous jobs that include boarding up windows and doors. If, after having been given an appropriate amount of time to remedy a violation, the violation is not corrected, the Code Enforcement Officer is authorized to take such legal action as deemed necessary, including the correction of the violation in an expeditious manner through the use of third-party contracts.   This Request for Bid is to solicit and identify contractors who can and will provide timely services in a professional manner.
