Kaltreider-Benfer Library Roof Replacement and HVAC Replacement

The Red Lion Borough Council is inviting sealed bids for two projects at the Kaltreider-Benfer Library located at 147 S. Charles Street, Red Lion, PA 17356. The projects include Contract A for a Partial Roof Replacement, which involves approximately 5,800 square feet of EPDM roofing system, and Contract B for the HVAC Rooftop Unit Replacement, which consists of one 30-ton packaged gas/electric unit. Bidders can submit bids for either or both contracts, with each contract being awarded separately.Sealed bids will be accepted until 3:00 P.M. (prevailing time) on September 14, 2026. Late submissions will not be considered.Bidders must clearly mark their bid envelopes with either "BID — KALTREIDER-BENFER LIBRARY ROOF REPLACEMENT" or "BID — KALTREIDER-BENFER LIBRARY HVAC REPLACEMENT" as applicable.Bid specifications and documents can be obtained by contacting the Red Lion Borough office at 717-850-0790 (ext. 101) or via email at mpoole@redlionpa.org.Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud during the Red Lion Borough Council meeting at 7:00 P.M. (prevailing time) on September 14, 2026. This project is subject to the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act, and each bid must include bid security of ten percent (10%) of the total bid amount. The successful bidder will be required to provide performance and payment bonds equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount. The Borough reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and to waive informalities in the best interest of the Borough.
