Solid Waste Collection and Disposal

Sealed bids are being requested by the Township of Nicholson for the collection and disposal of solid waste for a five-year term starting from October 1, 2026, and concluding on September 30, 2031, unless stated otherwise. The Township will provide the Contract Documents, form of contract, and complete Specifications. Bidders must use the specified bid forms and adhere to the instructions provided by the Township. Non-compliance may lead to disqualification unless the Township decides otherwise. Sealed bids should be submitted to The Township of Nicholson at 142 Woodside Old Frame Road, Smithfield, Pennsylvania, 15478, by September 3, 2026, at 1:00 PM. The bid envelope must be sealed and clearly marked as 'Bid for Solid Waste Collection.' Bids will be publicly opened and read at 3:30 PM on the same day at the specified address. A bid bond, certified check, cashier's check, or postal money order, amounting to ten percent (10%) of the first-year bid total, must accompany the bid as per the Instructions to Bidders.
