KING COUNTY LIBRARY SYSTEM Invitation to Bid – Reimagining Spaces at Kent Library 2026-ITB-023 PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The King County Rural Library District dba King County Library System (“Library”) provides public library services to communities throughout King County. More information about the Library is available at www.kcls.org . The Work consists of a full interior renovation of the existing approximately 22,600-square-foot Kent Library located at 212 2nd Ave N, Kent, WA 98032. The facility will be closed to the public and unoccupied during construction. The Work is governed by the Contract Documents and includes all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, and services required to complete the Project. Work includes, but is not limited to: •             Selective demolition and preparation of the existing interior for renovation. •             Construction of new and reconfigured interior spaces, partitions, ceilings, and finishes. •             Construction restrooms and associated accessibility improvements. •             Modifications to structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire-protection, low-voltage, and life-safety systems as indicated in the Contract Documents. •             Installation of interior finishes, fixed furnishings, casework, equipment, signage, and building systems as indicated in the Contract Documents. •             Coordination of Owner-furnished items, library shelving, furniture, technology, and other work identified in the Contract Documents. •             All testing, inspections, permits, closeout documentation, and other services necessary to provide a complete and operational facility in accordance with the Drawings and Specifications. Owner’s estimated base bid range: $3.25 Mil to $3.9 Mil. The Work shall be constructed in accordance with the Contract Documents and all applicable federal, state, and local codes and regulations.
