Request For Bids For Solid Waste Collection And Disposal

Sealed bids are invited and will be received by the Township of Nicholson for the collection and disposal of solid waste for a five (5) year term beginning October 1, 2026 and ending September 30, 2031, unless otherwise stipulated.The Contract Documents, form of contract, and complete Specifications can be provided by the Township. Bids must be made on the bid forms and in accordance with instructions to bidders furnished by The Township of Nicholson. Failure to do so will disqualify the bid unless such failure is deemed to be waivable by the Township in the Township's sole discretion.Sealed bids must be delivered to The Township of Nicholson at 142 Woodside Old Frame Road, Smithfield, Pennsylvania, 15478, on or before September 3, 2026, at 1:00pm. The envelope containing the bid must be sealed and plainly marked Bid for Solid Waste Collection. Bids will be publicly opened and read at 3:30pm on September 3, 2026, at the aforementioned address.A bid bond, certified check, cashiers check, or postal money order, drawn to the order of The Township of Nicholson, in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the first-year bid total must accompany the bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.The Township of Nicholson is an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer and all qualified contractors are invited to submit a proposal.
