Furnishing of Labor and Materials for Alterations and Modifications to the Administration Building and Dormitory Building for the Dover Fire and Rescue Department

Sealed proposals in duplicate will be received by the Director of Public Service of the City of Dover, Ohio, at his office in the City Building until 10:00 o'clock on Tuesday, September 15, 2026. The proposals will be opened and read the same day at the same time. The work involves furnishing labor and materials for alterations and modifications to the administration building and dormitory building for the Dover Fire and Rescue Department. Specifications and plans for the bids are available at the office of the Director of Public Service in the City Building. All bids must comply with the requirements of the specifications provided. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid guaranty in the form of a certified check, cashier's check, or letter of credit equal to 10% of the bid, or a bid guaranty bond for the full amount of the bid. Both forms of guaranty must adhere to Chapter 153 of the Ohio Revised Code and the project specifications. The bid amount for guaranty purposes must include all additive and deductive alternates. All bid guaranties shall be conditioned that if the bid is accepted within sixty (60) days of the bid opening, a proper contract shall be executed. If the bidder fails to enter into the contract within ten (10) days after notification of award, the bidder and the surety on any bond shall be liable to the City for an amount not to exceed ten (10) percent of the bid. Bidders must ensure that all employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against based on race, creed, color, sex, or national origin. All bids must comply with the requirements of the drawings, specifications, and contract documents. The right is reserved to reject any or all bids.
