Santa Barbara Courthouse Judges Elevator Modernization Design

The County of Santa Barbara (“County”) General Services Department is soliciting a Statement of Qualification (“SOQ”) and a separate, sealed Cost Proposal (collectively, the “Proposal”) from Certified Qualified Conveyance Companies (“Proposers”) to provide design and construction support services to modernize the existing traction system for Judges Elevator at the Historic Santa Barbara Courthouse, located at 1100 Anacapa St. Santa Barbara, CA 93101. The Historic County Courthouse houses the State Superior Courts, Public Defender, Hall of Records, and offices of the Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Department. The overall goal of the project is to modernize the existing, original mechanical equipment and controls for the Judges Elevator in the Historic County Courthouse while prioritizing the reuse of existing components that are compatible with new equipment and compliant with current safety codes and standards.
