Knox County 50 E Main Annex Buildout

Knox County is seeking bids for the construction of the Knox County 50 E Main Annex Buildout located at the Knox County Courthouse, 200 S Cherry Street, Galesburg, IL 61401. Bids will be accepted until 2:00 PM local time on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, at which point they will be publicly opened and read aloud. A non-mandatory pre-bidding conference is scheduled for Thursday, August 20, 2026, at 11:00 AM at the project site, specifically at the East Exterior Door at 50 E Main Street, Galesburg, Illinois 61401. Bidders must submit questions prior to the bid opening electronically to cbasham@klingner.com and sillingsworth@valleyconstruction.com, including 'Knox County 50 E Main Annex Buildout - Question Submittal' in the subject line. Questions will not be accepted over the phone. Bidding documents, including Drawings, Project Manual, Addenda, and List of Plan Holders, will be available in Adobe PDF format at www.klingnerplanroom.com. Bidders are encouraged to register as a Prime Bidder or Sub-Contractor on this site to ensure timely receipt of documents and notices. The Owner and Architect/Engineer are not responsible for incomplete documents from other sources. Printing and shipping costs for hard copies are the Contractor's responsibility, but there is no charge for PDF documents. Each bid must include a certified check or bank draft payable to Knox County, or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety, in an amount equal to 5% of the total bid. Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations is required. Knox County reserves the right to reject any and all bids, accept other than the lowest bid, and waive any irregularities. Bids may be held for up to 60 days for review and qualification of bidders before awarding the contract.
