RFP: Biological Consulting

The City is seeking proposals from qualified firms to provide biological consulting services to the Community Development Department, Planning Division, and to act as technical advisors on issues relating to terrestrial biology. The contract shall be for a minimum of two years. The Biological Services Consultant (also known as the “City Biologist”) reviews proposed Landscape Documentation Packages for compliance with the Malibu Municipal Code and Local Coastal Program, in addition to reviewing all other proposed projects for possible impacts to protected trees and Environmentally Sensitive Habitat Areas. The City Biologist may also serve as the chair of the Environmental Review Board.
