Consulting Services for a Study of the Possible Closure of Providence / Mission Hospital Laguna Beach

Providence Mission Hospital Laguna Beach operates the only licensed hospital and Emergency Department (ED) within the City of Laguna Beach, and its continued operation has significant implications for emergency medical response, ambulance transport times, and regional health care capacity in South Orange County. The hospital's parent organization has signaled the possibility that the Laguna Beach campus – including its Emergency Department – may close or substantially reduce acute care services by approximately 2030.In light of this possibility, the City of Laguna Beach (“City”) is issuing this Request for Qualifications (“RFQ”) to identify a qualified individual, firm, or small team of contractors (collectively, “Consultant”) to assist the City in studying the potential closure, understanding its impacts, engaging with the appropriate regulatory agencies, and evaluating options for the future of the hospital site.
